This Quote by Joel Brown relates to this trimester for me because if I take this advice I can achieve my goals. Lately I have seem to be more worried about what could go wrong, and in reality I need to focus on what I can do to better my self and achieve the goals I seek to accomplish. I am trying to keep my high grade point average up this trimester that I have had all of high School so I can attend either Michigan State or Central Michigan University in the fall of 2017. If I stress less on fear of would could happen, I could focus on keeping my grades up, finding a new job, and doing the things that I wish to accomplish. In the future I am going to use this advice to focus on what I need to do to reach my goals.

I believe that one should feel grateful in order to give thanks. Without doing this it quite seems dishonest to yourself. In possessing gratitude you will generally be a much happier person all around with little depression or sadness. We all have the skill of gratitude inside of us its just up to each and every of of us if we want to use it or not. For some gratitude can be very difficult because it is something that does not always come quick and easily. For many people like this gratitude is a skill that they need to constantly work on in order to improve their happiness. In my future I will continue to show gratitude each and every day for this wonderful life I have on earth, my family, friends, and good health.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/22/opinion/sunday/choose-to-be-grateful-it-will-make-you-happier.html?_r=0 Jim Rohn explains that 5 things that effect your life are the environment, events, knowledge, results, and our dreams. Making a contribution to the environment big or small will have an effect on the future. Events effect everybody and sometimes we cannot change them so we have to learn to cope with them. Knowledge effects us individually between what we know and don't know. Results discipline us and show us what direction we need to go in. Dreams effect our vision of the future and what we want to do next. Through all these 5 things effect each and every one of our lives.
Failure has taught me many lessons and a road to a successful path in my life. This school year I have not done to well in my Pre Calculus class and it has frustrated me more then ever. Throughout high school I always got A's and B's without having to put fourth a lot of studying and it hit me hard this year when I took Pre Calculus. After failing several tests and doing poorly I have come to understand what I have been doing wrong and realize I need to put a lot more effort in studying to be more successful in my future math classes. Overall the experience of doing very poorly in my Pre Calculus this year has showed me the differences I need to make in order to be more successful.
Dealing with negative people can be a difficult and yet touchy task that should be approached in several ways You can approach negative people through emphasizing, listening, validating and flipping and finding the good. Dealing with negative people is never an easy task but when approached correctly, can help that person turn positive in little no time at all. Of all of the 4 points I believe that really listening is the best way to deal with a negative person. If you really listen to them then you might understand the type of situation they are in or what they are going through.
After reading the commencement speech by Steve Jobs, I have learned several different new things. Throughout his speech Steve Jobs explains that when life throws a curve ball at you, you have to embrace it and keep moving forward. A major point that Steve Jobs wants to get across is that in life you have to take chances because you never know what positive opportunities can arise. The last major point that Steve Jobs taught me was use death as a reminder to try new things and opportunities because in the end we are all going to the same place and nothing else really matters. Ultimately Steve Jobs has taught me to take chances, look forward, and enjoy life.
http://www.success.com/article/6-inspiring-commencement-speeches I believe the two character traits that represent me most are responsibility, and respect. These values have been installed in me ever since I was a little kid. Responsibility has taught me that I need to get things done on my own, and in a responsible manner. Respect has taught me to treat others how you want to be treated. These core values have showed me how to communicate with others in every day life in the most professional and adult way. In the future I believe that I could improve my caution which will lead me to make more successful and better choices. In taking precaution I believe that I can make better decisions that will lead me to bigger and better things in my future.
I believe that this article can show us that putting other people first in our lives can pay off in the end. The old woman received an honorary diploma after she had to drop out of school at age 17 do to her mother having cancer. This shows me that living a life of sacrifice such as this woman can pay off. This woman ultimately shows us that you can accomplish what ever you want no matter what the circumstances are. In the future I believe many people will become more selfless because of this article.
Many people in today's society are afraid to reach out of their comfort zones. This is a growing problem in our modern day society because many people are afraid to do and try new things. This is due to the unknown which fears many people. Stepping out of the comfort zone boosts confidence, creates opportunities , and ultimately creates potential for that individual to do what ever they wish. Perspective is key because you can look at a situation both positively and negatively. Many people are afraid of what could go wrong which creates isolation. Stepping out of my own comfort zone allows me to try new things which will ultimately lead me on a path of success in the future.
I believe that I have a mixture of a fixed and growth mindset. Often i feel that I cannot do certain things because I think they will turn out in a bad way. Having a growth mindset creates positive influence and success. Growth Mindset allows us to evaluate a situation and make the outcome ourselves. In the future if I continue to have growth mindset I believe that I will reach what ever type of success that it is that I am looking for in my life.
